Opened in December 2006, the hotel has a strong focus on quality modern design, inspired by Icelandic nature, to give you modern conveniences in comfortable surroundings. Restaurants, bars, night-life and main attractions can all be found within easy walking distance, so whatever it is that you would like to visit, the hotel presents itself as the ideal base. The internet is available free of charge throughout the hotel. The hotel is completely non-smoking except for in the Domo basement bar.

CenterHotel Thingholt is a brand new hotel located in Reykjavík’s city centre, housed in a renovated printing factory. At CenterHotel Thingholt there’s a strong focus on quality modern design inspired by Icelandic nature. Inside you will find original and unique modern art by Icelandic artists. Currently, the hotel has commissioned local artists to create individual pieces for each of the rooms, making each one unique. During your stay you will be treated to a friendly and personalised service and are assured of serene and restful accommodation in a refined atmosphere. Restaurant Domo is located on the ground floor of the hotel. Domo specializes in Asian-European fusion cuisine. The hotel has 3 bars: - one in the hotel's lobby where you can have coffee 24/7, but general opening hours of the bar is from 07:00-24:00. - one in the basement of the Domo Restaurant where there is regular live music and a dance floor. That bar is open 18:00-01:00 on weekdays and 18:00-03:00 Fridays and Saturdays. - there's also a bar on the ground floor of the restaurant which is open with the restaurant at 11:30-14:30 for lunch and 18:00-24:00 for dinner.
